This page explains what Ainaptic collects when you visit ainaptic.com, and what you can ask us to do about it. We have kept it short because there is not much to say: we do not track you.
What we collect
When you read the site
Our server and our security provider record the standard technical details that come with every web request: your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, the page you came from, and your browser’s user-agent string. This is how any website works, and we use it only to serve pages, block abuse and fix faults.
We do not run analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recording and no cross-site tracking on this site. Our fonts are served from our own server, so no third party learns what you read.
Cookies
We set no cookies on visitors who are not signed in. If you choose a colour mode, that preference is saved in your own browser and never sent to us. Cookies appear only if you sign in as a member of staff, or where our security provider needs one briefly to tell a human apart from a bot.
Because we use no tracking or advertising cookies, there is no consent banner to click through.
If you subscribe to the newsletter
We store the email address you give us and the date you gave it, so we have a record that you asked to hear from us. We use it only to send the newsletter. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to [email protected], and we will delete your address.
If you write to us
We keep your message and address so we can reply.
Who else is involved
Two providers process data on our behalf, under contract and on our instructions only:
- Hostinger — hosting and server logs.
- Cloudflare — content delivery and protection against attacks.
Both operate servers in several countries, including the United States, so some data leaves the UK and the European Economic Area. Those transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses approved for that purpose, together with encryption in transit.
Beyond that, we do not share your data. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We would disclose data only where the law required it.
How long we keep it
Server and security logs are kept for a short period and then discarded. Your newsletter subscription is kept until you unsubscribe. Correspondence is kept while it is useful, then deleted.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw consent to the newsletter at any time. Write to [email protected] and we will deal with it within a month.
If you are in the UK or the EU, the GDPR gives you these rights, plus the right to object to processing, to restrict it, and to receive your data in a portable form. You can also complain to your national data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
If you are in California, you can ask what we collect and why, and ask us to delete or correct it. We do not sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
Children
This site is written for a professional adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Administrative access needs two-factor authentication, and repeated failed sign-ins are blocked. If you find a security problem, please tell us at [email protected] before making it public.
Changes
If we change this page we will update the date at the top, and we will say so on the site if the change matters to you.
